What a pretty and unique engagement ring at a great affordable price! This came from an estate sale I attended recently and the minute I saw it I knew I had to have it. The detail and style is something you don’t see every day. Wear it to stack with vintage bands or ask a very important question. This is a transitional design from the geometry of the 1940s to the more organic shapes of the mid century era. The diamond itself is unusual. The cut is the predecessor of a modern brilliant called an old transitional cut. It has a lot of fire but still that vintage diamond look about it, The center is a round stone measuring about 4.1mm in diameter and estimated to weigh about. The top and bottom of the ring are cut our squares each with a small round diamond in the center. The shoulders have open loops set with pave’ diamonds. Total estimated gem weight is. The center stone is Si-1 very conservatively (others may rate it as VS2) with small inclusions visible only under magnification. The center stone is I color. The face of the ring measures 8mm north to south and 15mm east to west. The band is about 1.25mm at the back. The central diamonds stands 5mm off the hand. The diamonds look great under magnification with only slight wear to the girdle of the center stone. Currently a size 6.25 it can be sized by your jeweler. This beauty weighs 2.1 carats and is marked and tests for 18K. I have had too many packages go missing.
