This delicatel little 19th c. Finger joined wooden oval box is crafted of pine and maple with handmade iron nails and retains grungy reddish brown surface with wear. Measuring just 2 5/8″ tall x 4 3/4″ x 6 1/4, it has graceful oval form and bears three stamped marks as pictured. You will note some cracks at the laps and some later round nail repairs (see images) along with one historic upholstery tack repair. The interior od the bx is clean with some traces of its old contents in the cracks and in the maker’s mark. It is a little fragile and displays vey nicely.
