Truly Special and Unique Couture Quality Vintage Dress in Wave Silk with Semi Matte Sheen. From Top to bottom: This dress is Constructed of Diamond and Triangle panels on the bias creating a most flattering silhouette seen most commonly in the 30s on Starlets in Old Hollywood. This dress is black and has a flat bow-like detail at each shoulder. The shoulders sit slightly wide and create a high draped neck in Front, and a deep V in the back. The center front panel is a diamond over the abdominal area. Draping down the body, the dress slightly flares out and flutters at the hi-lo hem that reaches a full 66 in the rear to give those lucky enough to be the perfect height a bit of a fishtail train. There is a small tear in the armpit that is about 1/3 and can easily be repaired without being noticeable. This dress is unique and the silk is weighty and feels amazing on. I adore this dress but just do not have the occasions in my life that require this type of elegance. I have worn it twice, but do not know the exact date of production. Included are pics of seams and details that show the type of stitching and craftmanship. It could be couture reproduction. I have been told by more than a few seamstresses and designers that it is exceptionally made and very high quality construction. It draws a lot of attention for its flattering elegance.
