This Bowie has a razor sharpened clip point and main cutting edge and a hand ground fuller which has been blued. This knife is meant to be used heavily and has grinding and sanding marks in the blade and guard as can be seen in the photos. Stacked leather handle grip, peened and brass pommel. Field ready for re-enactment, Cowboy action gatherings and etc.. This Bowie has been used and sharpened but in very good condition. Extra large knife yet feels excellent in the hand. This knife is right and tight, heavy duty and field ready for many chopping and camp chores. The sale includes the rawhide woven, heavy weight, high ride carry leather sheath with solid brass Chicago screws and brass Sam Browne button stud keeper strap. 17 1/2 overall length. 3 wide at the belly. 1/4 thick blade stock. 6″ x 1″ x 3/8″ thick brass lazy “S guard.
