Rare ANTIQUE 19THC CAST ZINC BELLAMY STYLE EAGLE U. S. SHIELD OLD PAINT 39.75

I will be listing some nice Antique and Vintage Items this week. Here is a Wonderful and Scarce ANTIQUE 19THC CAST ZINC EAGLE CLUTCHING ARROWS AND UNION SHIELD. It is 39-3/4 wide. Has nice old paint surface as found in a North Shore Massachusetts estate. A nice old coat of dark reddish brown paint with remnants of old blue and white on the shield and on the background with white eagle’s eye. I thought it was an old carved wood eagle because of the color when I first saw it, but it appears to be made of zinc. The rear side has an early olive green paint with some of the same olive green and perhaps a gold color showing underneath the brown paint in the chipped areas on the front. This is a genuine antique eagle and not one of those later vintage 20thC eagles. Eagle is in good condition with no damage. Still has it’s original old metal eyelets for hanging on the back. There is still quite a bit of dirt in the crevices and surface. I probably should have cleaned it to improve the appearance, but you are getting it just as it was found in estate. Mine offered here at a reasonable starting price, the lowest price I will be offering it for. Eagle weighs approximately 15.25 lbs. Look for my other nice Antique Items I will be listing as well. Rare vintage original Fenton style Oldsmobile finned aluminum valve covers Olds

Up for sale are a pair of vintage, Fenton style, valve covers. I say style because they do not have the Fenton name cast into them as some do. I have looked at other pictures and they are exactly the same, down to the casting flaws and part lines. Maybe an earlier set, casting mistake or Fenton may have cast some for other companies to put their name on them. Please do your own research. The plug wire separators have some rust on chrome. Covers have cracks around mounting holes on inside but no cracks showing on top. The picture of underside of covers show a line in the middle of one cover, that is not a crack, just part of casting process. One fin on the end has slight damage. RARE ANTIQUE OLD LEADED SLAG STAINED GLASS HANDEL TIFFANY STYLE LAMP c. 1905

For your consideration is this absolutely large leaded floral lamp made by Handel. This company made very few leaded lamps and those that it did make are of super high quality and highly desirable. This one is absolutely beautiful…. The lamp is constructed with great glass that really fires up when lit. The huge 18.5 diameter shade consists of granite backed and regular glass arranged with a white floral pattern apron against a two-toned green petal background. Adding to the quality of the shade is the use of bent glass pieces which were much more difficult to do and required more time. The shade rests on a wonderful 2-socket “gooseneck” base with embossed base. This is one of Handel’s finest bases, is solid bronze (and not copper plated pot metal which most were), and has a prominent HANDEL tag leaded into the underside. The base stands an impressive 25 tall. Although unsigned, I have copied a page out of Paul Crist’s Mosaic Shades II book that shows a nearly identical shade with yellow flowers and the same dual colored green leaf background. The condition of the lamp is good. With minor cracks in the glass (to be expected on a shade as large as this), no repairs, and all original finish. The lamp has been wired with period style cord and an old period plug, and comes ready to use and enjoy. If you have been looking for a great example of Handel’s work, this is the one for you. They don’t get much better than this in terms of color , so don’t let this one pass you by. You can return it up to 30 days.. So have a piece of mind when shopping greekflyboy1964!
