The Korean War was in its early stages when an American couple arrived in Asia. They were searching for additions to their collection of Asian art. They ended up in a shop that also showcased smoking jackets and they fell in love with two – one. For each of them. That was 70 years ago. Since then the two smoking jackets have been stored in a glass case for display. The men’s jacket is in immaculate condition. There is a small wrinkle at the back from being hung for so long.
