Old wooden frame from about 1850 Florentine style. 26.3 x 21.6 in. 16.9 x 13.8 in. 16.1 x 12.8 in. Old, ornate, carved wooden frame from around 1850 in the Florentine style. The frame is gilded and partially painted with gold paint. The frame looks unique and is suitable both for different styles of painting and for framing a mirror. With most of our frames it is possible to extend the picture space (internal dimension) of the frame by a maximum of 4 cm (2 cm on each side) depending on the frame size and the width of the bar. There are some spots on the mirror itself but the frame is in a very good condition – slightly distressed just from being old. Very charming piece of décor. Rare collector’s item. OLD VTG 1940s LOUIS XV STYLE ITALIAN FLORENTINE GILTWOOD VITRINE DISPLAY CABINET

WE ARE CLOSING OUR STORE! NOW IS THE TIME TO SAVE BIG!! A GORGEOUS, 1940s, SOLID WOOD, ITALIAN FLORENTINE DISPLAY CURIO CABINET OR VITRINE IN THE LOUIS XV STYLE. 2 pieces, with top display cabinet having glass sides, a glass panel inset in the door and 2 glass shelves. This unit has a VERY ORNATE, BOWED/CURVED AND CARVED TOP CREST. The interior of this unit is finished in gold leaf with a stamped, diamond or harlequin design. The original key is present and this unit does lock. This rests0 on top of the 3 drawer bottom chest and is secured with a wooden peg or dowel which is present on each side of the lower unit with corresponding holes drilled into the display unit bottom. The lower chest has 3 drawers with wooden drawer glides. It is beautifully contoured with large gold leaf patterns on the sides. The thick drawer fronts are slightly curved/bowed. The legs are cabriole style with carved shells above the feet. The cabinet has ornate carved details and stamped patterns under gold leaf. Original finish of AGED ivory with gold leaf/gilded accents. Good condition with some aging to the finish and a few, minor splits in wood. Nothing severe or distracting and nothing that affects the structural integrity of the pieces. There are a couple of very minor chips to the edge of the glass shelves. The drawer pulls are iron/metal with flower pattern. They have an aged patina. Backing is original wood. Cabinet is not marked. Absolutely beautiful and hard to find piece! Measures 68″ tall, 23″ wide and 14 deep.
