South Bend 50 Narrow Spool Tournament Style Bait Caster Fishing Reel in the Box in Very Very Gently Used Condition. The Box: Very Solid- Very Clean. The top panel has a puncture and an inked price. The remainder of the box is very clean- no issues- no seam rips- no tears- no separations- no crud. Pretty clean and crisp. Note; this box is from South Bend/ Gladding when the reels were made in Japan. This box is not original to the reel!!!!!!!!!!! The Reel: This reel is super clean! The green finish is about 99% original and factory clean. If fished- it was minimal with great care and no abuse. There is a little wear though the green finish on the rim bottoms. Loaded with light green braid fishing line- test may be 10 to 20 lb- not sure???? Has the cool flat paddle knobbed crank- neat. Just oiled the spool bushings- LW. Main gear shaft. It runs great- quietly – smoothly – easily. Every thing works fine- no issues. The plating is all clean!! This narrow spool by South Bend was made in the U. During the Shakespeare production days. This is NOT a Gladding version of the 50 Model but a much higher/ better quality reel by Shakespeare. The reel and box are both 50 models but are not an original combo. This is a quality clean version of the South Bend 50 narrow spool.
